Rapid Marine is proud to announce a milestone achievement with the sale of its 10,000th Rapid Padeye. The innovative deck fitting has revolutionised tender storage and safety on motor yachts across the UK and Europe.
Born from a flash of inspiration during a 10 mile evening run in 2015 by Managing Director Mike Evers, the Rapid Padeye was designed to overcome age old problems with traditional eyebolts and folding padeyes. While eyebolts pose a trip hazard and folding padeyes often pull free under load due to the lack of backing plates, the Rapid Padeye offers a safer, more durable solution.
Manufactured entirely in the UK, a foundation of the brand’s commitment to high quality products, the Rapid Padeye is an innovative solution for boat owners to upgrade their traditional eyebolts. Fitted with a snap toggle fixing system provides a robust backing plate without craning the boat out of the water, making it ideal for easy retrofitting. Its spring loaded, weather tight seal prevents water and debris from entering the padeye, and a secure locking mechanism ensures the tender remains safely stowed while on the water.
Known for its sleek, discreet appearance and hazard free design, the Rapid Padeye the perfect blend of form and function without spoiling the look of your deck.
The Rapid Padeye received industry acclaim at its debut, ranking in the top 3 in the Deck Equipment category at the DAME Awards at METSTRADE 2015, out of 157 products. That early recognition helped to cement Rapid Marine’s place in the marine equipment market.
“We are thrilled to have reached the remarkable milestone of 10,000 units sold, which is a testament to the confidence that boat builders and owners have in the Rapid Padeye,” said Managing Director Mike Evers.
Today, Rapid Marine offers three versions of the Padeye: The Flush Fitting for a seamless deck finish, the Low Profile for GRP and flybridges, and the Caulk Line model for synthetic teak decks, each designed with practical installation and aesthetics in mind.
