About Us

Rapid Marine was founded in 2015 by Managing Director Mike Evers, whose career in the marine industry began in 1988. Having worked across multiple sectors, from preparing boats for delivery to manufacturing covers, ratchet straps and lifting slings. Mike developed a deep understanding of the practical challenges faced by yacht professionals every day.

The business was built on the simple principle of listen to the industry, identifying age old frustrations, and create better solutions. The Rapid Padeye, inspired by repeated complaints about traditional eyebolts causing trip hazards, became a defining product for the company and received recognition for innovation at METSTRADE in Amsterdam shortly after launch.
Originally established in Poole before relocating to Plymouth, a place with strong personal significance to Mike, Rapid Marine began to grow steadily. What started as a one man operation evolved into a dedicated team, each playing a key role in supporting customers across the globe. From enquiry and sales to marketing, finance and operations, the team has grown organically alongside the business.

Today, Rapid Marine designs and develops its products in-house, working closely with local designers and manufacturers to ensure precision, quality and reliability. With customers ranging from supply companies to superyachts and marine brands worldwide, the company continues to focus on innovative, British made deck equipment engineered for safe tender and toy stowage.
